We held an Astrogator training class in Adelaide, South Australia. There is a lot of good astrogation work being performed in this beautiful part of the country. Here is a picture of us (John and company), the “Adelaide Astrogators.” That’s the low-thrust trajectory from GeoTran to Geo in the background, just one of the challenges the team worked on. We were able to modify the standard sequence to lower the fuel required quite a bit. The team also worked on some example cube-sat orbits, which were quite interesting. There’s always something new to learn.
When he wasn’t teaching, Astrogator John also got to hang out with the local wildlife.
